The boating team from Cambridge University defeated Oxford University by two strokes in the boat race. However, the Cambridge men entered the men’s race as significant underdogs; they rapidly pulled ahead in rough conditions on the River Thames in London.

However, between the boat, Oxford refused the opponents to be in the secure, clean waters. Still, unlucky could not make up the ground right after the opposite team’s shrewd maneuver to navigate near the Fulham Bank just to find the calm and clear water.

Cambridge took advantage of half-light, which they managed until the finish to maintain their fourth win in the last five races.

Before that, Oxford took advantage of truculent strokes in the women’s boating race. Nevertheless, the skilled “Light Blue” group from Cambridge rapidly regained their rhythm to cope, and after an exciting race in which both the boating teams almost collided, they warned both teams.

However, Cambridge took hold eventually and kept maintaining their space to secure a sixth conductive win by the four and quarter length. Oxford protested for encroachment, but umpire Tony Reynolds dismissed it.
